Rev. Victor Atenaga is an award-winning singer, songwriter, recording artist, worship leader, pastor and international worship trainer whose music and ministry have stirred hearts across Nigeria and beyond.
A seasoned voice in gospel music, he has devoted over three decades to leading worship, composing inspiring songs, and mentoring voices for service in church and marketplace.
He has emerged as a dynamic worship leader, progressing from youth intercession roles to leading worship at major church venues. His early excellence was recognized with back-to-back Best Vocalist Awards in 1994 and 1995, testimonies to his powerful anointing and unique vocal gift.
Rev. Atenaga served faithfully under the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa at the Faith Arena, where he was Music Director, Worship Leader and Personal Psalmist, roles that broadened his influence and deepened his commitment to heartfelt praise.
He is the lead pastor at Simply Worship International Ministry (SWIM) a fast-growing global ministry with the mandate of raising an army of worshippers who conquer their world and in turn train others to do the same.
As Senior Pastor of SWIM, Rev. Atenaga hosts one of Nigeria’s largest annual worship gatherings in Benin City’s Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and ministers in worship and healing events nationwide. His pastoral leadership is marked by vibrant worship, community outreach, and transformational teaching.
A prolific songwriter and arranger, he has penned numerous beloved worship songs including You Will Win, Majesty, Teach Me Your Ways, and God Is a Miracle Worker, while also collaborating with choirs and artists such as ShiRel. Beyond music, Rev. Atenaga is a respected voice therapist, trainer, lecturer, author and conference speaker, having led workshops and voice training at institutions like Gospel Music College and as Rector of Paradigm Academy of Music.
He is also a bestselling author of titles including Understanding the Priesthood of the Psalmist, Worship and the Miraculous and Answers on How Best to Use Your Voice, reflecting his passion for equipping worshippers and leaders in excellence.
