Music: Rev Victor Atenaga Releases Two Powerful Live Worship Singles, “Jesu Do” and “Oghene Do” ft. Shirel

Life-transforming anthems from “A Night Of Songs” usher listeners into deep thanksgiving and immersive worship

Rev Victor Atenaga, worship leader and visionary behind Simply Worship International Ministry (SWIM), has released two live singles, “Jesu Do” and “Oghene Do” featuring Shirel. Both songs are now available on all major digital platforms and offer a life-transforming, immersive worship experience for this season.

Recorded live in Benin City, these are the first singles from the album One Night of Songs with Victor Atenaga, presented by SWIM Music. The live album promises to be a collector’s item and a worshipper’s instrument.

The Heart Behind the Songs

“Jesu Do (Thank You Jesus)”

“Jesu Do” means “Thank You, Jesus.” It was not written, it was released in a moment of deep reflection and gratitude. Around 2021, just before stepping up to preach, Rev Atenaga was overwhelmed by God’s goodness.

“As I stood there, reflecting on how faithful God had been to me, to my family, and to our church, Something began to rise within me. Not a sermon. A song. The melody came first… soft, but strong. Then the words followed, simple, sincere, and soaked in gratitude: ‘Jesu do…’”

What started as a personal expression became a corporate sound of thanksgiving as the band and congregation flowed without rehearsal. “Jesu Do” is a song born out of service, in the middle of assignment, from deep remembrance of God’s faithfulness. It captures the truth that sometimes, when words fail, gratitude sings.

“Oghene Do (Thank You, God)” featuring Shirel

“Oghene Do” means “Thank You, God” in Urhobo and carries deep cultural and spiritual weight. The song is a heartfelt outpouring of thanksgiving for God’s countless wonders, faithfulness, and preservation.

Birthed in a moment of reflection and worship, “Oghene Do” is a testimony wrapped in melody. The live recording captures the raw presence of God, the unity of worshippers, and the sound of unreserved thanksgiving. With rich instrumentation and passionate vocals, it invites listeners into a real encounter, not just a musical experience.

“Oghene Do” is more than music. It is a posture, a declaration, and a lifestyle of thanksgiving.
