The vision for SJ Got Talent is to identify and develop talents in St. Joseph’s Chosen Church of God and bring them to lime light in the gospel music space.

The project started with music concerts tagged The Encounter, where we featured some of the contestants with popular gospel artistes from across the country in three seasons so far: two in Lagos State and one in Benin City.

We have hosted Eben, Tim Godfrey, Joe Praise, Bidemi, Steve Crown, Wole Oni, Mercy Chinwo and many others.

In the first season, we had up to six guest artistes and 4 of our own in house acts, in the second season we featured four guest artists and 6 of our own acts.

In 2019, we hosted Mercy Chinwo and all the other 8 acts were in-house.

The goal is to project our own acts as much as possible and put them in the spotlight and help to develop their music career as they grow on the music ministry.

The Apostle in Charge of Music Ministry, Apostle Dr. Ken Osanebi then decided to take the vision a step further by introducing the SJ Got Talent which is debuts this year (2021) with auditions at regional levels and the winners , 7 of them, will join the 9 people that featured in The Encounter Season 3 to make 16 that will contest at the semi finals.

The winner will win an all expense paid trip abroad to attend a music concert, music production deal and a music tour in Nigeria to all Regional Conventions of the church as the Ambassador of the Music Ministry.

The talent hunt will hold at SJCC, Osapa London, lagos and will have music and media gurus as judges like Noah Momodu (kbkjnr), Joan Paul and Efe Marvelous.
